SPECTRAL CHEMICAL CO INC. was founded in 1970 by Robert L Craig Jr. who was working as a salesman for a RI chemical company selling Dry Cleaning detergents. He decided that it was time to make these dry cleaning products on his own and continue selling. Spectral began manufacturing with a small mixing tank in a small space on Wellington Avenue in Cranston RI with a home based office. 

Over the past 40 years, Spectral has expanding from Dry Cleaning Detergents to a complete line of janitorial cleaning chemicals.
